HISTORY

In September 1997, the company initiated operations with weekly charter flights for Cargolux Airlines International S.A.'s Boeing 747-400’s on the route Bogota - Luxembourg. Since initiating this operation the main cargo focus has been fresh cut flowers. More recently fresh fruit and general cargo have become very important. Demand on the Bogota - Luxembourg route increased rapidly and a second frequency was initiated October 1998 and a third one in July 2008. Since September 2000 Ecuador joined the routing to Luxembourg making now UIO-BOG-LUX and filling up the 747-400s in a very successful business strategy. Mawney UIO is created initially also as a charter operation, but then developed into a stable regular flights operation.

Today we are in Quito (UIO), Ecuador, as Mawney Associates S.A. and in Bogotá (BOG), Colombia, as Cargo Link S.A.
